Restorative Dentistry Timonium, MD

Life is full of ups and downs, but that’s no reason for you to lose your smile! Restorative dentistry is designed to fix any problems you may have with your teeth, gums, and jaw structure. Our team of experts is highly skilled in addressing dental issues and restoring your smile to its former glory!

Do you have damaged teeth or need to improve the look of your smile? If you answered yes, then restorative dentistry may be right for you. Restorative dental procedures can help repair damaged or missing teeth and restore your ability to chew and bite correctly.

Types of Restorative Dentistry

Your dentist has several restorative dentistry procedures available depending on your need. For damaged teeth, a strengthening dental crown may be the best option. If you are missing teeth, your dentist may recommend dental implants, dental bridges, or dentures. To improve the appearance of your smile, your dentist may recommend porcelain dental veneers or dental crown.

As with all dental procedures, it is important to schedule an appointment with your dentist to go over your goals and see which options are available to you. To learn more about restorative dentistry, schedule an appointment today.

The thought of getting a cavity filled can feel like such a burden, however, fillings help repair the tooth and prevent any further decay or infection.. And our doctors and team actually make treating cavities easy!

We offer a variety of high quality filling materials and we will work with you to assess which one will best fit your needs based on the damage to your tooth! Let’s fix those cavities and get you on your way to a healthy mouth!

A dental bridge may be used for patients who have one or several missing teeth in order to close, or bridge, the gaps in their smile. This is done by using the teeth on either side of the gap to support the bridge, often placed along with a dental implant. This bridge serves as both a functional and a cosmetic solution, so we use materials such as porcelain to help the bridge blend in with the surrounding natural teeth to create a brilliant smile!

A crown is a custom-made permanent tooth covering that works to protect and restore damaged teeth. Crowns can be made out of a variety of materials depending on both your functional and cosmetic dental needs.

Crowns are used to replace a large filling, missing teeth, prevent/restore fractures, or cover a tooth that had a root canal!

Dentures are a wonderful option for our patients who are missing some or all of their natural teeth. Missing teeth can result from tooth decay, injury, gum disease, or just simply aging or natural causes.

Depending on your needs, we offer both partial dentures or complete dentures. Partial dentures are used when there are still some healthy, natural teeth remaining, and a full set is not needed. Artificial teeth are attached to a gum-colored base and are held in place by the remaining natural teeth. Complete dentures, on the other hand, are used for restoring all of the natural teeth in the mouth. Complete dentures are removable, so multiple visits may be necessary to create the perfect custom fit!

Tooth Or Teeth Extractions

While we work hard to protect and restore our patients’ natural teeth, extractions are sometimes necessary to maintain a healthy mouth and smile. Removing a tooth may need to occur due to infection, decay, injury, or simply overcrowding.

It’s our goal to make this process as smooth as possible, which is why our dentists will take the time necessary to prepare for and expertly complete the extraction. You’ll also be properly educated on what’s happening, why your tooth is being removed and offered every comfort to make sure you can go through the procedure stress-free!

In an effort to permanently restore smiles, implants are used when a patient is missing teeth. Missing teeth can be from injury, any periodontal disease, or decay. Patients who have healthy gums, good bone structure, and are actively hygienic are seen to be the best candidates for dental implants.

Implants eliminate hassles like glues and powders while securing your dentures. They provide maximum comfort and provide convenience to patients because they!
